Cartama Information
Cartama is situated at the foot of two small mountains which together form the Sierra de Cartama. Its territory is the frontier between the Guadalhorce Valley and La Hoya, and is home to orchards of oranges and almonds.

The province of Malaga is said to have some of the finest Flamenco in the whole of Andalucia. Whether this is true remains to be discovered but the history of this Cartama culture of dancing began in the 15th Century in this area of Andalucia.

Cartama is located in the Guadalhorce Valley which is one of the main Cartama attractions of this part of the province and the richest farmland in Malaga. Some of the animals particular to this area include wild boar, foxes and hares.
